The walking trail consists of eleven separate locations which:

• were completely destroyed
• were damaged, but still have some elements remaining
• were partially or completely rebuilt
• performed an alternative role during the war years

Each location on the trail is supported by original photographic images and oral history accounts from local people who were resident in the city during WW2.
